Protect America Leaves Big Impression at Home & Garden Show

Austin, Texas, Feb 27, 2013 (PRWeb.com via COMTEX) -- Held in the Alamo Dome every year during February, the San Antonio home and garden exhibition showcases some of the industry's latest developments and technology. For many homeowners attending the event, home security and automation have recently become attractive options due to price decreases and improvements in technology.

"Too many homeowners are not aware of their options when it comes to home security," said Melissa Walker, Protect America's vice president of marketing. "The San Antonio home and garden show was an excellent opportunity to showcase our service to new and established homeowners." Representatives from Protect America attended all three days of the conference. Though most of their time was spent discussing home security systems with conference goers, the representatives also discussed general home security tips, such as landscaping, locks, and neighborhood watch programs.

"With some simple precautions, and maybe a home security system, homeowners can avoid the pain and frustration that accompanies a burglary," said Kristen Hobaica, a Protect America spokeswoman that went to the show. "We wanted to use the show to demonstrate that home security means more than burglary. We also offer protection against fire, carbon monoxide poisoning, and flooding." When customers order a monthly security monitoring solution from Protect America, they receive a free GE wireless home security system. Each security package comes with up to 15 security sensors and a motion detector. Customers also have the option of adding various accessories, like smoke detectors, interactive surveillance cameras, and GPS vehicle tracking.
