To manage mobile network operators subscription remotely and securely, this new architecture relies on the remotely provisionable SIM (a new type of subscriber identity module that allows a full download of the mobile network operator s profile, remotely) and the Subscription Manager, that manages subscriptions as well as the lifecycle of the remotely provisionable SIM cards.


In Mobile Financial Services, Oberthur Technologies will focus on the Mobile Shopping Revolution, demonstrating their latest technologies that contribute to the enhancement of the shopping experience. A full range of solutions including NFC devices, Wallet Management and TSM & Mobile Money platforms are on show, for the mobile secure services of tomorrow.

Oberthur Technologies will also highlight a new generation of NFC SIM card that meets the high market expectations ofspeed, security and convenience. Speed, with the NFC Turbo Engine based on hardware acceleration and software optimization; security, with best-in-class certifications like EAL4+ and an integrated anti-virus; and convenience, thanks to the rich set of applications such as MIFARE DESFire and contactless payment to name a few.

On the market of embedded Secure Elements, Oberthur Technologies will showcase the PEARL 800k Classic, the first multi-application embedded secure element, offering the most advanced and secure Global Platform 2.2 and JavaCard 3.0 specifications. It is also the first of its kind to be certified by MasterCard with Mobile PayPass M/Chip 4 , hosting an NFC-based payment application, which typically requires the most demanding security levels. The PEARL 800k Classic is already present in the Google Nexus 4 smartphone and Google Nexus 10 tablet.
