Voip-Pal.Com Inc. Engaged in Acquisition Talks

BELLEVUE, Wash., Jan. 14, 2013 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Voip-Pal.Com Inc.'s ("Voip-Pal") (OTC Pink Sheets: VPLM) newly acquired subsidiary, Digifonica (International) Limited ("Digifonica, Gibraltar") has been approached by several interested parties representing Fortune 500 companies who are interested in acquiring Voip-Pal/Digifonica patent applications and patents, once the patents have been issued. These early stage discussions are in the verbal stages. Details of these talks cannot be disclosed nor the outcome of them can be determined at this time.

Voip-Pal's recently launched new retail website, www.PlatinumPhone.Com, is based upon proprietary VoIP softswitch platform acquired from Digifonica and is part of intellectual properties owned by Voip-Pal and not a licensed softswitch system. Voip-Pal Engineers have upgraded and updated PlatinumPhone.Com's proprietary softswitch system to be compatible to today's smartphone technology and apps.

About the Patent Pending Applications -- Routing, Billing and Rating engine (RBR): ("Producing routing messages for VoIP communications") US Patent Publication No. 20100150328 (Link to RBR USPTO filing): RBR allows new Licensees to perform subscriber management from their own existing subscriber management and billing platforms. -- Advanced Interoperability Solutions ("Uninterrupted Transmission of Internet Protocol Transmissions during Endpoint Changes") International Application No. PCT/CA2009/001317: This patent allows the transfer of in-session digital voice calls between disparate wireless technologies, enabling subscribers to roam seamlessly between different WiFi, WiMAX, 3G and 4G antenna technologies without losing a call.
