OCEG Calls for GRC Achievement Award Nominations

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. --(Business Wire)--

For the fourth consecutive year, OCEG will be presenting the GRC Achievement Awards at the annual Compliance Week conference, which is taking place in Washington, D.C., on May 20-22, 2013. Nominations must be submitted on or before April 1, 2013.

This award is given to organizations that demonstrate the value they have gained by taking an integrated approach to the governance, management and assurance of performance, risk and compliance using the OCEG Red Book GRC Capability Model. From the winners, the judges also select one winner for the grand Principled Performance Prize.

The 2012 winners were:

  • Sybase, an SAP (News - Alert) company (also winner of the Principled Performance Prize)
  • The Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago
  • Lanka ORIX Leasing Company of Sri Lanka
  • U.S. Treasury, Bureau of Public Debt, Office of Financing

"The awards offer an opportunity for everyone to learn from both companies and government agencies that demonstrate how they are achieving their objecties while addressing uncertainty and acting with integrity," said OCEG Co-Founder and President, Carole Switzer, as she made the call for nominations. "We look forward to once again receiving submissions from entities of many types, in many countries, and sharing the winning projects with our global membership of 40,000 individuals and others working in GRC roles."
