Vci-Group Continues To Grow Past Polycom Users Group, And Elects New Officers And Expands Vendor Communications With Circle Of Leaders In 2013.

Minneapolis, Minnesota, Dec 20, 2012 (PRWeb.com via COMTEX) -- The Visual Communication Group (VCI-Group), the largest independent group of videoconferencing and visual communications users in the world elected a new board of directors and introduces initiatives designed to accelerate the ongoing transformation of the 500+ videoconferencing end user organization.

Toni Alonso, VCI-Group Director, said, "The VCI-Group transformation has been ongoing since we transitioned from the Polycom Users Group three years ago. We have become the established independent users group for End Users of all manufacturers of videoconferencing and visual collaboration products and services; including Polycom, Cisco, Vidyo, Radvision, Tandberg, Citrix, Microsoft Lync, GoogleTalk, and Skype. We have become the de facto independent Users Group for all legacy and next generation visual collaboration products and services and are engaging the vendors and users accordingly." "In 2013, VCI-Group will continue moving forward and transitioning to better serve all our members," she continued. "The industry has made it very clear that there is a growing and compelling need for an independent End User organization and the Visual Communications Industry Group (VCI-Group) continues to function as that organization. And in the coming year, while we will continue to deliver training, communication and support for end users, manufacturers, CSPs and vendors, we will also be offering extraordinary support for our vendors enrolled in our Circle of Leadership program. In 2013 you will see a transformation and a revitalization of the organization through a number of initiatives. The first is the development of the Circle of Leadership program offered to Alliance/Vendor Members that will help introduce and present our vendors to our user members, while also educating our user members about industry changing developments like WebRTC.

The VCI-Group is the knowledge-sharing community that influences the Visual Communications Industry and is a community comprised of 500+ end-users and vendors focused on videoconferencing, telepresence, Unified Communications and/or collaboration technology. Membership consists of individuals from organizations that make visual communications purchasing decisions or recommendations and create implementation strategies, and/or support the technology.

VCI-Group focuses on facilitating educational and peer networking in the conferencing and collaboration industry. In addition to providing access to education, training, learning programs and "hot-off-the-press" news and information, VCI-Group's driving force is to keep the membership very well informed, trained and connected to their network of member professionals, while also making users aware of products, markets and trends.

The Visual Communications Industry Group (VCI-Group) is an independent, nonprofit organization dedicated to working to influence the development of Industry-based standards for multimedia collaboration technologies and applications, to improve industry products and services, and to facilitate the exchange of information among its members.
