BRIEF: Woman robbed while getting gas at Atwater store

ATWATER, Dec 13, 2012 (Merced Sun-Star (Merced - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- Police were on the lookout Wednesday for a gunman who robbed a woman outside a convenience store where she had stopped to get gas Tuesday night.

The robbery was reported about 6:38 p.m. at the Sure Stop Market at 972 Broadway, according to Atwater Police Lt. Samuel Joseph.

The woman had parked her car and walked inside the market to pay in advance for gas. As she exited the store, a man approached her on foot and pulled out a small handgun.
