Genesys Appoints Reed Henry as Chief Marketing Officer

With over 20 years of experience, Reed has a proven track record of success, managing everything from marketing, product, sales, strategy, alliances, professional services, customer support to mergers and acquisitions. Reed comes to Genesys from ArcSight Corporation, an enterprise security software provider, where he served as its Chief Marketing Officer. While at ArcSight he transformed the marketing organization to fuel the companys growth from a pre-public $70 million revenue company through a public offering to a company with revenues exceeding $200 million.

Prior to ArcSight, Reed served as Chief Marketing Officer of SeeBeyond, a public company providing enterprise integration and composite application software. His responsibilities included marketing, business development and alliances including managing the acquisition of SeeBeyond by Sun Microsystems. Before joining SeeBeyond, Reed served as vice president of strategy and new business for eBay including responsibility for mergers and acquisitions, and was the co-founder and vice president of marketing and product management of Vertical Networks, a Kleiner Perkins and Accel Partners backed provider of telephony and call centre solutions for service providers, enterprises and SMBs.

Reed holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from University of Washington, an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from California Institute of Technology, and an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business.
