Atos wins new contract with The Insolvency Service

(ENP Newswire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) ENP Newswire - 05 December 2012 Release date- 04122012 - London -Atos, an international IT services company, today announced that it has won a new five-year contract worth GBP16 million with The Insolvency Service, an agency of the Department of Business Innovation and Skills.


The contract was awarded under the Cabinet Office's Desktop 21 framework agreement which was created in 2010 to provide preferential access and pricing for the public sector for end user services.

This new infrastructure service is expected to deliver significant savings over five years. Atos will provide the thin client desktop and application hosting services through its Secure Cloud Service. The Atos solution provides a flexible service for 2000 users at The Insolvency Service.

The Atos solution will continue the use of low power devices such as thin clients in line with Cabinet Office Green Strategy. It is also expected to improve the delivery of sustainable print services, enabling users to print only what they need where they need in a reliable manner.
