Hastings Mutual Insurance Company Announces Timothy Bremer as Chief Information Officer and Bill Gregor as Vice President of Insurance Operations

HASTINGS, MI, Nov 28, 2012 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) -- Hastings Mutual Insurance Company, an award-winning, regional Property/Casualty insurance carrier serving six Midwest states welcomes Timothy Bremer as Vice President, Chief Information Officer and Bill Gregor as Vice President of Insurance Operations.


Bremer started at Hastings Mutual in mid-October and has a history of proven success in insurance and information technology with more than 27 years of industry experience. Gregor, who joined Hastings Mutual in 1985, previously served the company as Assistant Vice President of Personal and Farm Lines, and has 35 years of insurance industry experience.

Bremer comes to Hastings Mutual from Sun Prairie, Wisc. where he held several positions during his 25 year tenure at General Casualty Insurance Companies (QBE), most recently as the Vice President of Infrastructure and Operations. Bremer has participated as an industry expert at several conferences serving as a presenter at the PDS Technology Conference in 2011 and 2012, and as a client panelist at the Gartner Symposium in 2010.

Bremer received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Information Systems and a Master of Business Administration degree from Edgewood College in Madison, Wisc. In addition to his professional experience, he has served as a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity and as an assistant middle school basketball coach for many years.

Gregor, originally from Watervliet, Mich., has earned several insurance designations including CPCU and CIC, and obtained both a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration/Economics and Master of Business Administration degree from Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Mich. He also sits on the Board of Directors for National Independent Statistical Service (NISS) and is the past president of the Western Michigan Chapter of CPCU.
