UK Government Procurement Service Offers NeuQs On-line

LEICESTER, England, November 21, 2012 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- NeuQs, a cloud based help desk software solution, is being made available via the G Cloud store; the UK Government Procurement Service's innovative initiative to move the sourcing of IT services on-line.

Managing Director, Martin Roberts of Neustro Consulting, the author of the ITIL compliant help desk software said, "We are very proud to have achieved approved supplier status and welcome this opportunity to provide software services to UK Government departments." He continued, "The G Cloud approach enables small and medium sized companies, like ourselves, to overcome the hurdles and barriers of selling to Government departments. The G cloud program has made this relatively easy to achieve." Neustro, who provide IT support services to businesses across the world but with a particular focus on the UK Midlands, decided that off the shelf help desk software didn't meet their needs, so they developed their own package 'NeuQs'.

This is available both as download and 'in the Cloud' making use of Microsoft technologies and the Microsoft Azure platform. This ensures that the application is both secure and scalable.

NeuQs is free for three users and then at a small monthly cost for additional users.

About G-Cloud The G-Cloud Programme is a cross government initiative led by Andy Nelson (Ministry of Justice) supported by Denise McDonagh (Home Office) under the direction of the Chief Information Officer Delivery Board as part of the Government ICT Strategy.

The initial focus is on introducing cloud ICT services into government departments, local authorities and the wider public sector. In order to do this we have undertaken a G-Cloud procurement framework for services under the OJEU process. These services can then be reviewed and purchased through the CloudStore.
