Trailer Park, Inc. Selects Tintri to Support Its Virtualized Environment

(Marketwire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 11/13/12 -- Tintri, Inc., the leading producer of purpose-built, VM-aware storage platforms today announced that Trailer Park, Inc., the world's leading entertainment marketing agency, has successfully deployed Tintri to support its virtualized infrastructure. Trailer Park relies on Tintri to support its server virtual machine (VM) deployment, which includes business-critical applications like SQL Server, IIS, Active Directory, SharePoint, Avaya voicemail, and accounting and HR systems.

Trailer Park wanted to consolidate its business-critical applications from physical servers to virtual servers and replace its increasingly inefficient SAN storage with high-performance shared storage. After evaluating several solutions, Trailer Park chose Tintri VMstore for its simplified management console, VM-aware architecture, and small form factor. The Tintri VMstore significantly reduced overall storage footprint and helped Trailer Park reduce data center operational costs substantially as the datacenter now runs 15 degrees cooler.

"We chose the Tintri VMstore for our environment for its affordable performance, ease of use, and small form factor," said Michael Forester, IT Director at Trailer Park. "The Tintri VMstore is one of the easiest systems I have ever set up; it just runs and we don't have to worry about configuring it or managing LUNs and volumes. In fact, we haven't had to manage the Tintri VMstore since we set it up." "As organizations increasingly virtualize their business-critical workloads, we are finding a great demand for storage solutions that provide simplified, VM-aware storage management and cost-effective performance," said Geoff Stedman, Tintri Vice President of Marketing. "Trailer Park's use case provides a great example of how Tintri can help organizations seamlessly transition from a physical to virtual infrastructure while improving overall performance and efficiency."
