MTPCS to Participate in Verizon Wireless' LTE in Rural America Program

WAYNE, Penn., Nov. 9, 2012 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- MTPCS, LLC, d.b.a. Cellular One, a leading wireless telecommunications carrier in many rural parts of the United States, announced that the company has entered into an agreement with Verizon Wireless to participate in the LTE in Rural America program. Under the LTE in Rural America program, Verizon Wireless is working with rural carriers to jumpstart the delivery of fourth-generation Long Term Evolution (LTE) services to rural communities throughout the United States.

Jonathan Foxman, President and CEO of MTPCS, said, "we are excited to partner with Verizon Wireless to provide rural consumers and businesses an exceptional mobile broadband experience, one that offers expanded coverage and significantly faster data speeds." "We are pleased to have the opportunity to work with Cellular One and believe that our companies working together will greatly enhance the mobile broadband infrastructure in rural East Texas," said Molly Feldman, VP of Business Development for Verizon Wireless.
