Indosoft includes Asterisk 1.8 in its Product Roadmap for Q-Suite

Fredericton, NB, May 27, 2012 (PRWeb.com via COMTEX) -- Indosoft Inc., developers of Q-Suite, the leading Contact Center ACD and Dialer Software for Asterisk, announces the inclusion of Asterisk 1.8 in its product roadmap. Q-Suite leverages the extensive Manager Interface capabilities of Asterisk, for CTI integration, to provide feature rich call center software that operates as a separate functional ACD layer. This announcement to the channel partners signals upcoming additional enhancements to be made available in the Q-Suite ACD and Dialer software using the newer capabilities within Asterisk 1.8.

Q-Suite along with the technology stack of Linux, Asterisk, Apache and MySQL, presents an opportunity to bring about greater efficiency, better productivity and lower costs with its next generation contact center platform. It is architected to scale seamlessly to multiple Asterisk servers allowing medium and large call centers to take advantage of the flexibility and power of the VoIP platform. An Asterisk based contact center using Q-Suite provides best of both worlds namely, the feature sets of a mature call center ACD software coupled with the power of Asterisk PBX.

Asterisk has impacted VoIP telephony and PBX with its power, flexibility and versatility in the last decade. Asterisk 1.4 has reached a level of stability and maturity, qualifying as a viable platform for medium and large contact centers migrating to IP telephony. The availability of Call Survival and High Availability within Q-Suite makes it an ideal candidate for Asterisk based mission critical contact centers. The flexibility offered by Asterisk 1.8 will allow Q-Suite to provide additional contact center ACD functionality through better CTI Integration.

"There are capabilities within Asterisk 1.8 that make it easier for CTI Integration and Contact Center feature development", said James Terhune, Chief Technology Officer at Indosoft. "One significant capability is the ability to bridge channels directly. This will minimize the use of 'MeetMe', allow direct implementation of more demanding transfer functionalities and reduce processor load. Asterisk allows Q-Suite to offer functionality within its contact center suite that far exceed other leading contact center and unified communications platforms. Indosoft has benefited immensely from the growth of Asterisk".
