Zen Internet increases Ethernet in the First Mile (EFM) to 35Mbps

(M2 PressWIRE Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Zen Internet, one of the UKs leading Internet Service Providers (ISP), has now enhanced its Ethernet in the First Mile (EFM) service to 35Mbps.

Zens EFM provides lower cost, dedicated high speed internet and data connections for business. EFM is delivered through multiple copper pairs and can be provided within 30 working days, half the time of a traditional Ethernet service, with guaranteed speed options from 1Mbps to 35Mbps symmetrical bandwidth.

For businesses wanting guaranteed performance and looking to upgrade from broadband services, EFM is the perfect choice. It is far more cost effective than traditional Ethernet services and can be deployed in nearly half the time. Zens existing EFM, previously limited to 10Mbps, will now have the option to upgrade right up to 35Mbps, said Andrew.Saunders, Head of Product Management and Marketing.

EFM brings with it many benefits for businesses and is a key enabling technology for a whole range of business internet services such as e-commerce, Cloud computing and remote working. All of Zens services are supported by a highly robust and resilient network and excellent technical support and customer service. Working with a good, reliable provider ensures that a businesss network is ready for the demands of todays businesses, added Andrew.

Reliability and support are critical in business, where every second of downtime could mean lost work, lost custom and lost income. Zens EFM service is highly scalable, secure, reliable and ready for applications including VoIP and Video Conferencing. It has a business class Service Level Agreement (SLA) and 24/7 access to UK based technical support and customer service together with market leading 4 hour onsite response support contact.

Zens EFM is ideal for businesses needing consistently high connectivity speeds without downtime, those that need to transfer sensitive data quickly from site to site or over the Internet or have high upload and download bandwidth requirements. Using Zens EFM service is cost effective and affordable, costing up to 40% less than fibre based Ethernet solutions.

To meet the demands of growing businesses EFM also offers flexibility as bandwidth can be scaled at short notice to handle anticipated peaks in demand. This flexible technology provides a future proof platform for embracing new services. Zen also offers Business Talk SIP, an alternative to traditional ISDN voice services, designed for businesses wanting to reduce costs and improve business communications. Business Talk SIP is ideal as a value added service provided over EFM to deliver a combined voice, data and internet solution for business customers. For resellers currently selling connectivity services moving to Business Talk SIP and EFM from Zen is a simple and important move for Partners wanting to grow their revenue.
