Seasoned Executives Join Infor to Drive Cloud and Product Efficiency

(Marketwire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) NEW YORK, NY -- (Marketwire) -- 04/23/12 -- Infor, a leading provider of business application software serving more than 70,000 customers, today announced the appointment of John Goedert and Mark Thacker to the positions of SVP Speed and SVP Business Cloud, respectively. The new positions will report directly to CEO Charles Phillips, who has made accelerated development and adoption of cloud applications top priorities for the company.

Delivering Innovation FasterInfor added more than 500 application developers in the last year and is approaching a total team of nearly 4,000 engineers. As senior vice president of Speed, Goedert will be tasked with optimizing development resources across the product portfolio and getting Infor applications adopted by customers more quickly. His deep operational experience in development processes, quality and release readiness, as well as his ability to solve problems that span multiple lines of business, will help ensure customers get higher quality applications faster. He will also help efficiently allocate critical development resources to maximize market impact and customer satisfaction.

Before joining Infor, Goedert served as vice president of operations for Oracle's Global Retail business unit. He was previously chief operations officer for Retek, Inc. He earned his bachelor's degree from Iowa State University.

Accelerating Infor10 Business Cloud Infor now has approximately two million subscribers to its cloud applications. Infor10 Business Cloud is a modern, multi-tenant, integrated family of proven manufacturing and business processes. Business Cloud is pre-integrated with the Salesforce Sales Cloud and the Marketing Cloud, a partnership between Infor and salesforce.com.

As senior vice president of Business Cloud, Thacker will accelerate the adoption of Business Cloud and lead a dedicated field team to expand adoption globally. He will help manage the strategic partnership between Infor and salesforce.com. Business Cloud is pre-integrated with Salesforce through a native Force.com application. Infor and Salesforce are also co-developing the Marketing Cloud based on Infor10 CRM Enterprise (Epiphany), the leading marketing recommendation engine.

Additionally, Thacker will be responsible for Infor's demonstration environment for all products. The Infor global demo environment is a large, cloud-based use case that provides a strong proof point for Infor cloud services. Infor uses the cloud to demonstrate all of its applications with the goal of providing consistent user experiences for customers at a lower cost.

Thacker comes to Infor from GenieDB, where he was CEO of the cloud database software provider. He previously was EVP at DATAllegro, a provider of "Big Data" analytics that was acquired by Microsoft in 2008. He earned his business degree from Thames Valley University in London.
