Frontier Communications CEO to Receive 2012 B'nai B'rith International Distinguished Achievement Award

B'nai B'rith International has chosen Maggie Wilderotter, Chairman and CEO of Frontier Communications Corporation (NASDAQ: FTR), to receive its 2012 Distinguished Achievement Award. The award recognizes the accomplishments of key community and corporate leaders from around the world.

The award ceremony will take place April 24, 2012, at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in New York City.

Under Wilderotter's leadership, Frontier has committed to diversity throughout its workforce and to improving the quality of life in the communities it serves through better communications, employment opportunities and causes important to its customers -qualities B'nai B'rith International looks for in choosing award recipients.

Wilderotter's professional accolades and accomplishments include her Oct. 4, 2010, appointment by President Obama to serve as vice chair of the National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee. Fortune magazine included her on its 2009, 2010 and 2011 lists of "50 Most Powerful Women in Business" and in November 2011, the Financial Times (News - Alert) named Wilderotter one of the top 50 women in world business, including her in its list of "Women at the Top." Most recently she received the "Business Media Award" from the Women's Media Center in New York City.

Before joining Frontier in 2004, Wilderotter held leadership posts at Microsoft, Wink Communications, AT&T (News - Alert) and McCaw Cellular Communications, among other companies. In addition to Frontier, she currently serves on the Board of Directors of Procter and Gamble and Xerox and several non-profit organizations. She is a graduate of the College of the Holy Cross.
