Cision Software's Powerful New Search Makes List-Building Faster and Easier Than Ever

CHICAGO, Apr 17, 2012 (GlobeNewswire via COMTEX) -- Cision, the leading provider of PR software, services and tools for the marketing and PR industry, today introduced powerful new search capabilities in the award-winning Cision campaign management software platform, allowing users to search, filter, build media lists and drive insights from the comprehensive Cision Media Database faster and easier than ever.

Developed from user feedback and offering familiar features such as guided navigation, dynamic search and "type ahead" recommendations, Cision search now makes filtering results and building lists as intuitive as any day-to-day online activity. Summaries and graphic reports give communicators insights into results like media types, geographic distribution, and other criteria that enable them to better understand who and where their key media and influencers are.

"Cision has really sped up and improved the process of searching for outlets, influencers and opportunities," said Audrey Pannell, Director of Public Relations of Style Advertising, Marketing and Public Relations of Birmingham, Alabama. Ms. Pannell was one of the Beta testers of the new search capability. "It offers complete visibility into a list as you move from a broad to a targeted search, so we can refine and build complete and accurate lists as we go. Lists that used to take us two or three revisions and 20 minutes to build now take us ten seconds. Its ease of use is remarkable." "Cision search not only makes you more productive, it makes you more focused, more effective, and able to create better relationships with influencers and media," said Peter Granat, Chief Executive Officer of Cision North America. "It's the latest example of our ongoing commitment to drive innovation throughout the marketing and PR industry." In the last year alone, Cision has also enhanced its campaign management software by: -- Introducing new integrated functions like Cision Social Publish, advanced metrics like the Cision Influence Rating, and new offerings like Cision Influencer Lists.

-- Expanded the Cision database with new online influencers, and offered mobile access to users of most popular smartphones and tablets, including iPad, iPhone and Android devices.

-- Built the software on a new architecture that provides better performance and larger capacity.

Cision has also been named the Best Marketing/PR Solution and the Best Online Business Information Solution from the CODiE Awards, sponsored by the Software and Information Industry Association.
