TrueCare.com Launches New Website for Social Media Monitoring Tools

SCHAUMBURG, IL, Apr 10, 2012 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) -- TrueCare, a social network monitoring service for parents, has announced the launch of its new and improved website, www.Truecare.com. The new website is designed to be a resource to parents, kids, school administrators, non-profits and the Internet safety community at large to focus on social media monitoring and overall cyber safety.

The updated site, which showcases TrueCare's innovative social media monitoring tool, streamlines the implementation of its monitoring service for parents. In addition, the site offers valuable free resources designed to educate parents on the many dangers that lurk online, including predators, cyber bullying, and defamed reputations.

"Parents frequently come to us with questions relating to all areas of online safety. While social media monitoring is still our main focus, we wanted to provide more resources to accommodate their questions around social media safety in one easy-to-navigate place," said TrueCare SVP of Marketing Carol Voellinger. "Also, we wanted to create an even better user experience for our members. They can now utilize new features including a comprehensive dashboard that shows the networks being monitored and real time data on the number of alerts, photos, videos and friends. Improvements like this make it even easier to monitor their kids and saves them time." This new dashboard highlights all keyword alerts and the definition of the keywords found, and now contains a 'High, Medium or Low' risk score that explains XYZ; making it very easy for parents to monitor their child's activity daily. Photo postings are organized into easy-to-find tabs with views by "album, flagged, tagged or all photos." The system is designed so that parents can monitor top-level, relevant information without spending hours combing through every page, picture, friend and post of potentially multiple children's accounts.

The new site also includes a vast library of Internet safety tips, conversation starters for Internet safety discussions, FAQs for both parents and kids, and a dictionary of slang terms kids use when communicating online. It also features real time feeds of the most current news articles about bullying and predators.

"We also offer unique partnership opportunities for schools, non-profits and faith-based groups to leverage fundraising activities with TrueCare," said Vince Mazza, Executive Vice President at TrueCare. "The new website gives us the ability to distribute and communicate information to these groups so their members and constituents can easily access the information needed to keep kids safe." TrueCare will continue to grow its product and resource offerings, partnerships and content database to support its mission of keeping kids safe online.
