NTT Communications Wins "Daimler Supplier Award 2011" for International Procurement Services

STUTTGART, Germany, Mar 30, 2012 (PR Newswire Europe via COMTEX) -- STUTTGART, Germany, March 30, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- i"At this year's Daimler Key Supplier Meetings at the Mercedes-Benz Center in Stuttgart, NTT Communications was honored to receive the "Daimler Supplier Award 2011" in the Telecommunications category of 'International Procurement Services'.


Daimler annually awards above-average performance of its suppliers based on the value drivers of quality, technology, cost and delivery performance. Suppliers are also assessed against the values of fairness, reliability and credibility. Around 450 representatives of major suppliers and about 200 representatives of Daimler's management attended the event on 15 March 2012 at Mercedes-Benz in Stuttgart.

Daimler's Japanese suppliers were applauded for their great commitment following the natural disaster, being awarded a special prize for partnership by Wilfried Porth, Member of the Board of Human Resources and Labor Director of Daimler AG, who spoke of the solidarity, pragmatism, and selflessness shown by the people in Japan in this difficult time and the extraordinary efforts made by Daimler's Japanese partners.
