EMRSoap, the Right Choice in Healthcare IT Consulting

(PR Web Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) (PRWEB) March 30, 2012 EMRSoap, a Bellevue based healthcare IT consulting firm, is announcing a new product called EMRChoice. This process assists medical practices in choosing an EMR (electronic medical records). EMRChoice mitigates the complexity of the variables by matching individual practice needs to relevant EMR system attributes.

Clients are first given a questionnaire that captures every relevant issue in their decision-making process, ensuring that they do not overlook important factors. Once a client’s needs are identified, they are given a shortlist of EMR systems that solve those needs. Our methodology examines hundreds of EMR systems, allowing doctors to filter out dozens of unwanted products with a single clarifying answer.

As medical practitioners recognize, the process of choosing an EMR system can be overwhelming. An independent practice has to sort through over 400 systems that are currently on the market. Each system could be inappropriate for them because of the size or type of practice, what labs they use, or how expensive the EMR system is.

Each practice has specific needs and considerations. The EMRChoice process takes these individual needs into account. Its recommendations are based on interactions with over 10,000 physicians. Clients will have the certainty of knowing that they will be getting guidance that is specifically relevant to their practice.

A well-chosen EMR can provide significant benefits to a practice – decreased time looking for charts, increased patient safety through automated reminders, increased participation in clinical trials, increased transparency to patients, increased revenue through more accurate billing, and many others. Additionally, an appropriate EMR would qualify for meaningful use and the sizeable government benefits that come from that qualification.

Small and medium sized practices are lagging behind in adopting EMR solutions that will provide them with these benefits. According to market research firm SK&A, practices that have between one and five physicians have EMR adoption rates between 29% and 47%. EMRSoap has experience working with small and medium sized practices and helping them achieve their own EMR goals.

EMRSoap is a division of Cyberstreams, a Bellevue based IT consulting firm that specializes in providing high quality service to small and medium sized businesses in the Pacific Northwest.
