GENBAND Launches GENiUS IMS to Transform Global Networks and Enable the Delivery of Advanced Communications Services

GENBAND, a leading developer of IP infrastructure and application solutions, today announced the introduction of GENBAND (News - Alert) GENiUS IMS, a unique, flexible and simplified network transformation solution that provides best-in-class elements for both integrated and distributed IMS environments. As an enhancement to the award-winning GENBAND GENiUS™ solution, GENiUS Integrated IMS empowers customers to quickly offer advanced IP communications services that significantly reduce total cost of ownership with network and operational simplicity, while offering the flexibility of a seamless transition to a fully distributed IMS architecture. GENiUS Distributed IMS provides operators the flexibility to interwork into a deployed IMS core, enabling a smooth network transformation path to a converged core.

The comprehensive GENBAND GENiUS IMS solution fully integrates functionality from several key components of GENBAND's market-leading product portfolio, including the A2™ Communications Application Server; C20™ and C15™ Access Gateway (News - Alert) and Media Gateway Control Functions (AGCF, MGCF); the C3™ Transcoding Media Resource Controller; the S3™ Intelligent Session Border Controller (SBC); the G-Series media gateways; and P-Series Traffic and Policy Management solutions.
