Digium , Inc.: Digium and VoIP Unlimited Announce Interoperability of VoIP Unlimited's IP Network and Digium's Switchvox IPPBX

Dec 07, 2009 (M2 PRESSWIRE via COMTEX) -- HUNTSVILLE, Ala., and DORSET, UK -- Digium , Inc., the Asterisk Company, and VoIP Unlimited, a UK business SIP trunk specialist, today announced the interoperability of VoIP Unlimited's SIP network and Switchvox, Digium's unified communications solution. The partnership allows the companies to offer the UKchannel a fully IP-based, turn-key business communications solution. VoIP Unlimited is the first ITSP in Europe to have undergone interoperability testing with Switchvox.

For years, software and IT support companies have been developing IP PBX solutions based on Digium's open source Asterisk platform, offering increased functionality and integration into their customers' networks. Many businesses appreciate the powerful features of the platform but don't want to change their business models from installers to software engineering. For these businesses, Switchvox is ideal.
