ACOGITO Announces ROAMING MACHINE(TM) That Can Roam Your Home TV Anywhere You Are

LAS VEGAS --(Business Wire)-- Acogito, a personal media entertainment carrier company, today announced the new product family, named ROAMING MACHINE(TM), with which consumers can roam their home TV anywhere they are. ROAMING MACHINE(TM) is a digital HD set-top box (STB), a digital video recorder (DVR), or even a digital TV (DTV) with a built-in, place-shifting (MPEG4/H.264 encoding) capability. It utilizes the Company's patented Remote Control eXtensible Mark-up Language (RCXML) technology for a set of command protocols for remote viewing.

ROAMING MACHINE(TM) is available in three different hardware platforms depending on the broadcasting reception methods such as ATSC (8VSB/QAM)/NTSC (for US), DVB-S/DVB-T/PAL (for EU), and IP (for worldwide). With this ROAMING MACHINE(TM) installed at home, consumers can stream and watch their home TV or recorded programs via PC or mobile phones anywhere the broadband internet is available. The Company is also pleased to announce the world's first LCD HDTV with a built-in, place-shifting capability, so called RoamingTV(TM).

"Acogito aims to provide consumers a freedom to watch TV in a creative way," said Jason Chung, Ph.D., President & CEO of Acogito. "I am thrilled to announce this new product family of ROAMING MACHINE(TM) with a digital HD tuner, differentiating from other place-shifting devices in the market. I am sure that consumers would experience and enjoy the brisk & crystal-clear HD picture quality and mobile accessibility at the same time."

ROAMING MACHINE(TM) is the result of digital convergence solution in home entertainment enabled by Acogito's technological leadership, achieving the lower cost and better performance. It would satisfy not only consumers' two major growing desires, HD viewing and mobile TV capability, but also the time-to-market demand as the upcoming analog switch-off schedule in US begins from February, 2009.

Eventual beneficiaries for the ROAMING MACHINE(TM) product family will be consumers with HD enthusiasm and/or mobile preference, (i) who own a flat panel digital TV with a built-in analog tuner, (ii) who have an analog cable connection at home, (iii) who would like to enjoy the ever-increasing terrestrial HD broadcasting programs, and/or of course, (iv) who would like to watch their home TV anytime and anywhere they want. The Company will showcase its new digital ROAMING MACHINE(TM) product during NAB 2007 held in Las Vegas. The booth is located in C7843.
