eClinicalWorks Rated a Top EMR System for Small, Medium and Large Practices at TEPR 2006; Integrated EMR and Practice Management Solution Also Wins Pediatric Award Challenge

WESTBOROUGH, Mass. --(Business Wire)-- May 26, 2006 -- eClinicalWorks(TM), a leading provider of unified ambulatory clinical information systems, today announced it has received First Honors at the 2006 TEPR (Towards the Electronic Patient Record) Awards, in the category of EMR Systems for Medium and Large Practices, and Second Honors in the EMR System for Small Practices category. The company also received First Honors in the Pediatric specialty category. The awards were presented during the 22nd Annual TEPR 2006 Conference and Exhibition, held May 20-24, 2006 at the Baltimore Convention Center.

"eClinicalWorks strives to continuously provide the most cutting-edge solution in the industry that will best meet physicians' needs," said Girish Kumar Navani, president of eClinicalWorks. "We make it a priority to incorporate customer feedback into our unified solution, making it comprehensive and cost-effective for all practices, regardless of size. Being recognized by such a prestigious award is a testament to the drive and hard work that the entire eClinicalWorks team exhibits in advancing our technology."

Organized by the Medical Records Institute, the TEPR Awards recognize outstanding healthcare solutions. The TEPR Conference and Exhibition has worked to advance electronic patient records for 22 years, providing attendees with a comprehensive educational program and an exhibition showcasing nearly 200 leading EHR/EMR and related technology vendors. TEPR is considered one of the Health IT industry's premier events and a highly-regarded awards program. Other recipients of this award include Allscripts (Nasdaq: MDRX), Medical Communication Systems and Practice Partner.

eClinicalWorks also won First Honors in the Pediatric specialty category. In order to claim top honors in this category, participants demonstrate their software at the Pediatrics Clinical Documentation Challenge (CDC). At the CDC, vendors are given difficult, short pediatric scenarios to document based on special requirements for pediatric electronic medical records. Vendors are scored in how well and how efficiently they can handle each scenario.

eClinicalWorks' award-winning EMR solution allows healthcare providers to manage patient flow, immediately access patient records in-house or remotely, electronically communicate with the referring physicians and securely send consult notes and clinical data. Users can easily access and review complete patient histories, past visits, current medications, allergies, labs and charts. Integrated with EMR is eClinicalWorks Practice Management, designed to instantly streamline the medical billing process.
