Avian Influenza Pandemic Awareness and Preparedness Training to be Offered Online by NexPort Solutions and NEHA

DENVER --(Business Wire)-- March 13, 2006 -- NexPort Solutions and the National Environmental Health Association (NEHA) have formed a partnership to develop and deliver Avian Influenza (H5N1) Pandemic Awareness and Preparedness Training. This training will be available online through NexPort performance support portals to domestic and international public health, healthcare, and other professionals preparing for a possible flu pandemic.

Throughout all levels of government, and increasingly throughout the private sector, service and business continuity planning is underway for the eventuality of a prolonged disruptive pandemic of catastrophic proportions on the order of the 1918 Spanish Flu Pandemic which killed over 50 million people.

Upon completing the partnership agreement, Mark Allen, Director of Strategic Development for NexPort Solutions, stated, "Combining the public health research and subject-matter expertise of NEHA with the online courseware development expertise and secure highly scalable portal technologies of NexPort Solutions is timely. This program will provide training for hundreds of thousands of professionals that will be called upon to perform vital life-saving services should a pandemic erupt."

Nelson Fabian, NEHA Executive Director, added, "The opportunity to provide continuing education through such an accessible medium on such a serious concern to our profession is exciting to NEHA. We must keep in mind that the more the public and environmental health professional can learn about this subject, the better they can do their jobs and in the process, protect the health of the communities they serve."

The first course of a series of vital training topics will be available through www.nexportsolutions.com/neha beginning March 10, 2006.
